Isaac Burrough Design Reveals 110 Metre Yacht Concept Kiwa

Amsterdam studio Isaac Burrough Design has revealed a 110-metre superyacht concept named Kiwa after the Māori guardian of the ocean.

With 200 square metres of solar panels, a hybrid propulsion package and low volume to length hull, the Kiwa concept “reimagines sustainable seafaring,” according to Burrough.

Suitable for adventurers and those seeking a relaxing sanctuary alike, the yacht is capable of operating in electric-only mode for entering remote zones without pollution.

Outdoor living is key, with expansive deck areas throughout. The versatile main deck features sliding doors and lounge areas providing private sanctuaries and a swim platform akin to “a beach sloping towards the sea”.

A glass bottomed pool meanwhile is cantilevered off the main deck while the lower deck features in-built sun pads and uninterrupted sea views. The sundeck meanwhile features a Jacuzzi with elevated panoramic views.

Other features include 175 square metres of storage space for guest toys and tenders, including two guest tenders of 12 metres and seven metres and two crew tenders of seven metres. The helipad forward can accommodate a H145 helicopter. Accommodation on board is for a total of 14 guests and 29 crew.

Speaking about the design, Burrough said: “The intention for Kiwa was to design a yacht that is both modern and elegant. Her sleek silhouette combined with curvaceous surfaces give grace despite her exploration capabilities. A yacht that will looks sophisticated whether cruising the Mediterranean or the Arctic.”
